Nope. Not trying at all. Cambridge is closing too. Peabody done. Burlington done. Saugus Kmart done. Saugus Auto Center done. Salem NH closing.

Sears/Kmart had a lock on the market in the cape. Little other competition. With this, they are just giving up. SHC is toast, they don't care and are just winding down the business. Why would you give up a Sears to allow a Target to come in and kill your Kmart?

People will appreciate having a Target there. Maybe the Sears employees will get some work there. Target's starting pay is $11.50/hour in Mass. Obviously shift leaders and such get more.

The store is going to become a Target. Which will put the Kmart across the street out of business. Brilliant move!
