There will be a CX layoff in November as functional consolidations that were announced last month now get rolled out to people. Good lucks.

Cisco drop the company's annual picnic and replace it with annual layoff back in 2000
Cisco lost the dinosaur bank. It's the end of an era.
@VagM8GL-Qqxs - the number is around 4500.
@VagM8GL-Qqxs This is based on a post on this website where someone said their whole team of 300 were LR'd. That's unlikely to be anywhere near the actual number
Reports say LR is in hundreds, not thousands range. This would make sense as 14k-20k would require public disclosure. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/06/cisco_layoffs_customer_experience/
Sorry friends. I hope you land new jobs quickly.
Anyone willing to share terms of the separation package?
The company is laying off over 20,000 this week.
The target is 35% with a total of 67% total to inflate stock prices prior to upcoming sale of various assets.
Sale is entire company is still a viable option.
ITAI organization was also hit 5 out of 9 gone.
Even we here the same. AS might be impacted I guess, removing higher grade is an option.
IT as well, about 15%.
Which group got affected most? AS or TS? There is dead wood in the senior management in TS, AS and Wingo’s tools group. Hope some those senior manager and Director were let go !!!
My husband was layed off today after 10 years with Cisco.
what is FTD?
Several thousand from Maria’s CX console of former as AS & TS divisions. We can go sc-ape for food and rent while she gets a big bonus and a new MBZ. Been around 10 years and so sick of this $hit every single year = OMG so old, no way to live...
The official date in which the people impacted is 11/5. That is the actual date they are no longer showing up to work. My manager is one of those impacted. The manager our team had was great. Sad to see this happen to someone who is such a good leader for our team. Our manager pulled me into a one on one last week and told me the news. I am not happy about this and pretty tired of this telicom mentality. I used to work in IT for SBC back on the early to mid 2000s. They had ERPs all the time ( Early Retirement Programs ). The difference was people could get a package based on years served anytime they wanted. Cisco is just a constant layoff cycle. Maybe our fearless leaders should pull their heads out of the clouds. They should start focusing on making our products stellar instead of bug infested to the point of insanity.
So far CX / TAC has been hit. I know of 2 managers that are affected. Both of course are long time TAC managers since the beginning. Also heard the VP of AS is also affected. Basically San Jose TAC has an axe in its back. Our fearless leaders are clueless. Oh well watch Cisco be the next Sun Micro. They to started the numbers game and crashed much sooner. IBM is another one to watch as they are running a business just by the numbers as well and look at how they are doing. Going no where ring a bell ? Not sure if anyone is wondering about our products but our flagship FTD is a joke. There is a rant on reddit written by a customer. To say the least its embarrassing. We should be spending money on US based Dev as in my experience things actually get done and done correct.
Customer experience. Maria Martinez took over this year, and now the axe is coming down.
Is CX the customer advocacy or something else?
I am RB in CX...my company has told me it will be 35% or so by the end of Oct. I was told if on the list then the job will end in October.
October is the ' traditional ' Cisco month for layoffs, however the notices go out in September. To those caught up in the hunger games, my sympathies,... and yet, no one ever held a gun to our heads to work at this company so a little personal responsibility is in order. Also, for those hired after 2000 please understand back in the day it actually was a growing, dynamic company. Since I'm not there after 2014 I cannot comment on the quality of management (or lack thereof) except to say the that the real talent was chased away by JC,... can you imagine? at one time Judy Estrin worked there?
@VagM8GL-5evx - a perceptive question.
The message coming down within CX is that there will only be one sales team for ‘services’. There will be rationalisation across services sales in Gerri’s team and BDM/sales roles in CX. Up to 67% of the combined team could be LRed.
It is clear that there will be a round of LR at the beginning of Q2 in CX followed by another when Gerri finishes her reorganisation. MM has made it clear that CX will mirror whatever structure sales adopts.
Services sales or CX?
Notices go out in November after Q1.
I heard October
Already many are in MR (Mass Restructuring)
