Oracle has been doing cloud in some form or another for more than 20 years. Others try to sing to the cloud tune but Oracle defined what cloud means and continue to drive the definition. This message perhaps isn't captured by those who don't understand the technical aspects of what cloud computing actually is.

Oracle, the leader in Clown Computing

I love this new branding - you sir (or m'aam) are a genius and should take over the marketing department so all of Oracle's media starts to call it clown computing or as the old Stealers Wheel song says:
"Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you"
LJE, SC, MH - who's the joker, who are the clowns ????? But it the customers that are stuck in the middle of this mess o'clown foolery
"Oracle owns cloud computing. Oracle has been doing cloud in some form or another for more than 20 years."
you must really have very short memory:

Can’t tell if this is a troll post? Or LE in disguise?
Either way - as a troll post or genuine post - this is hilarious. AMZN and MSFT and Google has already won. It’s over for Oracle.
Oracle, the leader in Clown Computing
OP: Welcome to the new oracle (with small o) cloud as a service:
OPaaS: Oracle Pravda as a Service.
BTO: OP, you are a real OCM: OracleCertified mo--n.
Haha, good luck ocakle with mo--ns like OP working for that company.
Also, you should read a dictionary, and learn the definition of customers, you would be surprised what it means. id--t.
Hi Larry!
Took beefer in porta potty, feel much betters.
Asshat OP, they (IBM, etc) had shared mainframe services in the 70’s. At&t had shared pbx’s too. That was the first cloud. WTF does that matter when we are talking about modern cloud now? Oracle cloud is so far behind amazon and msft dont even care about them.
@VbkOx3q is an imbecile.
Customers aren’t buying it. It’s smoke and mirrors at some point. Oracle can’t compete in cloud. Not even ranked in the top 4 and barely hanging on to the 5th spot. Oracle brand in the industry is not a positive one. It doesn’t carry the weight it once did. Competitors are offering a more superior product and seamless customer experience.
Go away LE - this redefinition of cloud is ridiculous and you will fool nobody.
This is of course what the 3 stooges will be selling on the earnings call : cloud is nothing new, we’be Been doing it for ever, business as usual bla, bla, bla
If that is true, Oracle been doing a worst job ever.
