Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Why?

Why do you think there is no reaction by investors after $500 million loss?

Why do you think there were no layoffs before quarter earning report? But layoff rumors after that?

How they still have money for operations even after suffering huge losses quarter aftwr quarter?

Why there are no layoffs in SHI but done in SHC HQ?

Large chunks of the stock are still buried in proprietary products from the largest brokerages, funneled into the deep depths of everyone's IRAs. and 401ks.

The rest is owned by a manipulator and some cronies.

We have problem with non US resident/citizen and H1B people. If they were American citizen no one would care, they could have as many jobs as they wanted. True that Indian people has more people in IT field but should that be proportional to Indians living in Chicago area? Nobody wanted to work in a department that 90% of one race, be it Chinese, Indian, Black or White. I don't that's why I left.

Why in the world did this conversation turn to race? So wrong in so many ways... grow up and treat ALL PEOPLE the way you want to be treated. You should be the next on the chopping block for such an ignorant comment.

To the person that speaks of the low value of the Sh--eam... you are absolutely wrong! They are the best off shore team I have ever worked with. During all of the layoffs they have saved the onshore team countless times. You have no clue what you are talking about. I respected my on & off shore team. It did not matter where they were located. This is reality that teams will be all over the world & we need to learn to collaborate, work together & creative great products!

@Vbro3lg-xto I guess OP is saying after they announced 2nd quarter just in 3 months we lost half a billion dollars. Despite the stock went a bit up and went down (but would be expected for it to go under penny's). I mean it makes no sense how so much money was burned and yet the company is still operating.

A big payment is due this October and we are basically almost out of money. Rumor is the whole Kenmore deal is trying to be worked, but if the pension side gets involved what can Sears get out of this? I honestly think their might be major cuts this next following weeks and even a bunch of closings. I believe my store will close already its on its last legs as it seems. Rumor is our lease won't get renewed and they are calling it quits.

If SHC had not hired all of those Indians Sears would have been in better shape. Laziest bunch to work with. They may be cheaper than Americans. but you get what you pay for.

To the Indian, real or not, this talk you speak is irrevelant and troll like. There are tens of thousands of job openings for IT nationwide. Get over it.

Where have you been, sears stock lost over 50% last quarter expecting that awful result just came out.

As of layoff, Indians are first to hire and last to be fired. It's happening every where in corporate America. Sears is much in dire straight now so you will see more of them than you wanted to. In the end Indian or no Indian we all will be out of job. Again you will have to compete with them to get another job. The prognostic is not good for you white folk. Take my advice, look for a new job now before those thousand Indians at HE are laid off.
