Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Meat cutters will not be going away . They are what keeps us going . Without them a lot of people would not be shopping here , like Walmart. Who wants prepackaged meat ? Not me !

Walmart has all prepackaged meat so we will see who is gone first. You think it is not going to happen at Sam's too. Keep dreaming

Wow!!! There has always been resentment from the rest of the associates toward us meat cutters. Been doing this for 15 years with sams... we have pride in our trade. And by the way, nothing comes in pre-cut. We do cut everything ourselves, then we trim. But you wouldn't know because you never bother to walk to the back and see what we do. I cant help but think how much better a "SAM'S CLUB FRESH" store would be. That would eliminate a lot of dead weight I think. Holiday lights, patio furniture,electronics,jewelry,cheap sh-- furniture etc. Can be all ecommerce as far as I'm concerned.

Only meat market has implemented the program ... and VERY FEW have passed so far.. as for the other fresh fresh departments they are like 6 months behind even starting

LOL sam' is not a real meat market, cutters trim fat off of already cut meat that's it! My dad was a true meat cutter. It's a dying breed and a dead end job.... you just crack me up

Ok another self asorbed meat cutter responding ...the produce and bakery are delayed. Why? The whole club needs this program. Meat cutter what a joke not profitable with the market always being up in the air ...can't wait for pre packaged meat ...not that hard to cut a piece of meat ya know. .

Most clubs have multiple people already in the orange belt program. I know my club my teamlead and 2 cutters are orange belts. Maybe you just s---
