Last week upwards of 70 positions were labeled as "redundant" to the Center of Excellence in Pune India. Most any position that involves admin, project administration, routine overhead, etc. was given 1 to 2 months on the job then a package after that time.
The communications were about being competitive. Lower cost overseas. Same mantra different day. Also, folks that are software based if possible are sent to Atlanta or Morris Plains or told the job is gone.
Make India Great Now....good luck managing the projects and data issues from another country. Cash out those stock options now...think GE.
