Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM soon to lose the Walgreens Contract

Well, here it is folks, IBM is on the verge of losing the Walgreens contract due to mismanagement of field support staff, just a few week shy of the 1 year anniversary of the contract. IBM will be forced to "find" a replacement field service for Walgreens. Who knows what will happen to the current IBM-Former Walgreens workers at IBM, either they will stay with IBM and be the "unwanted-Soon to be laidoff group" or go else ware ( preferably not back to Walgreens, since they were the schmucks that felt that they didn't need them to begin with ) but it doesn't look good either way. Sorry guys, should have gotten out while the getting was good!

Funny How all this came to fruition, IBM sold what Walgreens techs that were left to Toshiba. Toshiba then cut out who they didn't want (not like they know who they had to begin with) and then promoted the most worthless people to be managers and directors...I gave it 2 years and now I realize it is the same song and dance...I am about ready to leave this mess and start elsewhere as it is another $hitshow like before, getting tired of being the only tech covering god knows how many stores and with no assistance from management and my cries for help falling on deaf ears...Sc--w you all from the top down that started this whole mess back in 2018. You guys are the ones that should have been removed from the equation long ago and left DTR alone!

Where are all the naysayers now???? Dave and other supposed "account managers"?????

Disgruntled employee my @$$. I left there on my own accord long before this c-ap hit the fan, got my own business and doing fine!

I do feel sorry for those that IBM had tossed to Toshiba for the WAG contract. Toshiba is already following in IBM's horrible footsteps and took who they wanted and canned the rest. I suppose Toshiba is going to milk those remaining for their knowledge and pass them their severance shortly after.... Heartless b–tard Companies

There’s going to be a big meeting this Friday August 16, 2019 with all IBM/Walgreens employees. No word on what it’s about. But there’s rumors that Walgreens might take all of the Walgreens team back because IBM is not meeting Walgreens expectations

To people who claim they manage accounts - I don't know if it's true or not, but I've worked as subcontractor for IBM/Walgreens projects and was paid last summer for it. This invoice for the last project I did for them (which I would like to mention was priced very cheap for the amount of physical labor done by 1 tech, but obviously designed for 2 people) back in early November is 2 months past due and they completely ignore me via chat, emails and phone. Definitely looks fishy to me.

I can not speak for actual employees, but subcontractors are being screwed up for sure - I saw a few posts from unpaid workers like me.

P.S. If you work for the account, could please arrange that us, underpaid subcontractors , get paid for worked we've done for you? Thank you very much

I have a feeling this is true.

Did IBM move any support towers to India? I hope not, cause its over most likely if they did.

India support is being dumped by most all accts plain and simple. No hiding that fact.

This article is far from the truth and does not provide any proof. IBM did not announce any layoffs. I work on this account and there is nothing to indicate that IBM is losing the relationship with Walgreens.
