Shankar just announced that certain departments in IT will transfer to InfoSys - and that those employees will not be eligible for a "program that Hans will announce later today."
Nope, but we're pretty for it's not to announce the return of the pension.
Does anyone know for sure what Shankar meeting is go to go over?

Get rid of the execs who make a ridiculous amount of money. Saving money on 1 execs annual bonus could probably keep a few people employed. Keep the people who actually do the work.
I am so glad to be an ex employee and feel good, I left way ahead of time! My answer to all the folks in this blog. Move on. Get a life outside! It’s much different and keeps you sharp. Sitting in same company of years on end and blaming everyone under the sun for these events is just dumb! Own your fate! Board got a new CEO to do just that. To act and change the company, not to maintain status quo! Go out the world is much more fun and lively out there

Just wait till we hear it from shankar. No one knows anything, if your manager or SPm is trying to tell something then its all fake, the truth is they are more scared then those in Band 5 or below and its the ultimate truth. Everyone in VDSi knows that the SPM's and tech managers are the most useless ppl in VDSI and even if there is a lay off then these ppl will be targeted first and there is nothing wrong about it.
do we have a buyout or rebadge all employees ? or is that optional given to employee either you can rebadge or consider for a package? what does it means who ever has not got shankar invite?
Why would anyone paste the content of a 'do not forward' employee-only invite file? No one should paste that info here. If you got the invite, look for the file in the invite. If you didn't, we can't paste content. But I can tell you there's nothing in it that will help us figure out what the meeting is about... if that eases your concerns.

Ohhh for sure this can't be for a Q3 update. There wouldn't have been a weird note in the end saying 'is only for select employees...' stuff. Btw I am from network IT team and I have got the invite.

Can we request global investors /Institutional brokers also to join this meeting and downgrade Verizon share to sell with target price of $ 10 ???? I heard there will be severance offering to the employees who wish to opt for the buyout.
He will announce that some will receive the buyout package and a significant more will be rebadged. It is just to sell to people how great rebadging will be, NOT. Verizon IT is gone with Hans taking over. He will do to Verizon what he did to Ericsson. Leave while you can.
The attached filename has a date on it which indicates there were multiple revisions and somebody built it very quickly (i.e did not rename it before uploading it). Also the call is 30 mins only to give a quick update and leave no time for questions. something is definitely not kosher.
@fuf - Try again. Quarterly results meetings are never at 8am ET, are usually an hour or more, not 30 minutes, and they actually SAY 'quarterly update' or something in the agenda. Also, they are booked several days/weeks in advance. Not at 4pm Friday for 8am Monday. Most US people are not online by 8am ET - or are just logging in - especially TX offices, so he didn't give them much warning to find out about the meeting. This is something less benign than a quarterly update.

The meeting invite went out to selected staff with a note to not forward it or delegate the meeting. There's also a passcode which may or may not be unique.

Go to a flat fee-only financial planner first, rather than one belonging to a company who will want to sell you their products
@qpp... He probably chose 8am ET/7am CT for a couple of reasons: 1) The meeting also includes all international employees - especially VDSI - so it can't be too late. Or 2) The news (whatever it is) will get out that morning and they want the employees informed first and at the same time across all orgs.

Hey, we’ll get through it. I’ll call my wife as soon as I find out. Already set an appointment with my financial planner. On a side note. If you don’t have a planner you better get one. Interview a couple people to make sure they fit your personality. If you’re looking for a recommendation (and I’m sure are) reach out to my guys at Morgan Stanley. 856-222-4505. Some of may know them. They work with a lot of our coworkers. George & Jason tell it like it is. BTW, when one door closes another one opens. Seen plenty of people on other threads looking forward to a change. I am too. Spend more time with the family. First grand baby is on the way. Everything is gonna be just fine. More to life than constantly wondering if your going to be let go.
