You should have received an email from your Director by now for a meeting on Monday or Tuesday. The package information is being sent company wide Monday AM.
I understand they want 10k across the business to take the package. I say we all put in for the enhanced package ... do you really want to work here once another 10k of us are gone? It is going to be a nightmare.
Y’all realize most the negative comments here are from CWA trolls, right? The reality is that every business needs to restructure from time to time and that is how large corporations continue to succeed.
FYI. They said 10% layoffs in 2017. This verysite says 180k employees end of 2016. Current is 155k. Since when is 25k a 10% of 180k?????

I did get an e-mail from my Director for a Monday morning meeting; asking me not to forward or send a delegate. I am band 7 on the wireless side......if this were true I might take the package; the stress has been horrendous and even though my next job would be less $$$ anything might be better than working for a company so "streamlined" they can't even carry out simple daily work duties.

I am also Band 7 wireless and so far have neither received an email for this call. I will say though yesterday (Friday) things were EERRY quiet. Very few emails came in. Manager not even on IM, like normal bugging us over silly, little stuff.
It’s true and I’ll take their offer. IT has been insanely stressful. I’ll take their nice goodbye and their benefits. Time for an easier life.
