Correct, pharmacist are “salaried” yet somehow paid “hourly.”

So if we are salaried, then why would we owe back the hours missed when we attend these meetings. Why wouldn’t our time at these meetings be part of our salaried base for the week?

We are salaried when it works best for CV$ and we are hourly when it works best for CV$.

Aren't pharmacist exempt?

Salaried?

Look I'm on your side when I say this , there is a base for pharmacist and managers ... most pharmacist don't complain when they come in

An hour early to get a jump on the day . And managers have to work extra quite often . I agree it's not right but -- they pay me like they agreed to and it's job security for now .

Pharmacists need to band together and stop attending unpaid meetings. If our attendance is required then pay us to be there otherwise we don’t come. They can’t say we are salaried when we are required to attend the meeting AND make up our shift that we have to trade. Why do we allow ourselves to be walked over? Why do we follow “demand” hours that we know aren’t safe? Why can’t we figure out how to band together???

I think the DLs should spend 1 week

In s store with the one cashier we have and try to get the vendors checked in, cover lunch, go to bank

Do planogram, price changes, daily planner , conf call, loss prevention,

400 piece truck, clean the bath rooms, deposit, spend 40% of the day as a back up cashier And the 65 things I left off including the 7 hours truely necessary to check out dates Then that disconnect will hopefully narrow but I doubt it

Do Pharmacists get compensated?

Like hell I'm not compensated. If I have to go to an 8 hour meeting, its counting as 8 of my 45 hours.

No it’s our day off. It’s always like that all meetings we are not compensated for.

Do any of you get paid to go to RLC? It seems insulting to waste our time playing lemonade stand.

There has always been a divide between upper management and store level. It started as a crack and has now become an 8 lane highway. The company also stresses the importance of the Pharmacist and Store Manager working together and then drives a wedge between them.

Throughout the company there are a few in upper management who realize this and do what they can but whose hands are tied. They also don’t stay very long. Anyone who has been around awhile has seen the company jockey back and forth between the Pharmacist being responsible for Pharmacy and the Store Manager responsible for the “TOTAL” store. Removing Pharmacist responsibility is in step with there move toward becoming a Healthcare company rather than a Retail company... you are expendable. As previously stated there are companies out there who would love to have the talent that CVS abuses. Take some time to find one.

Meetings to communicate the annual meeting and ready for 4th quarter. Nothing new. should bring back Jack DeAlmo and ask him to get involved in staffing stores. He at least had some sense when it comes to operations. go in to CVS stores .. feel the old tired look just ready for more negative sales comps. Even the remodeled stores are boring! AND NO HELP TO BE FOUND! PRICES> OMG

As an owner I’m going to increase my hours of staffing.”. How do you run a lemonade stand with no one running it?

Pretty soon even the CVS lemons will be organically engineered...they will come with a mustache.
