Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Please consider this

Remember. When frontier acquired Verizon West region, employees who moved along with it were kicked off after sometime in the name of contract. Now the same situation with transitioning to Infosys. My humble suggestion to employees who think it's better to stick with Infosys transitioning; put your papers and get a job outside. Do not under estimate your skills or choose transitioning just for 50 plus thousands you going to get in the name of STI. Don't get soled out. Onshore employees above 20 years are forced to apply for retirement. Manager's will talk in smooth voice and make you accept the transition. Those who stick to the transition plan; please read the documents before signing.

Sound advice by @VjJ37cl-kly. Whatever you decide, good luck

My bet is that the people moving to Infosys will have an Indian counterpart that they will be training to do their position and will be out of a job after that year.

You have to accept their offer to at least get the 65% prorated STI bonus for this year

Apply for jobs now, start the transition to get what is left of your bonus, take up a new offer somewhere you would enjoy working.

It's unfortunate you can't get any severance package, but why stick around supporting a company who doesn't support you?

If only wireless workers were unionized... 🤔🤔🤔
