The buyout is only offered to those NOT chosen to transition to infosys, retained as Verizon Employees. Which means anyone with 20+ years that does t choose to take the job at Infosys, will not get the same package offered to retained Verizon employees. I smell a class action lawsuit....

This is so Unfair to take away the Money the Employees have accumulated over the years, letting them walk out forcefully with nothing and more than that it is not common across the board. One side gets the sweet deal and whoever is rebadged to Infosys don't get any benefits at all. And in the News, it talks only about Verizon giving out a good deal not talking about the thousands of employees who have been impacted with Re badging.
There are people tagged to go to Infosys that would have liked.to have been offered the same buyout package that the VZ retained employees were offered. It's either accept the offer from Infosys or be terminated with nothing. Unreal.
