Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Negative Outlook on Oracle

Announced today, S&P lowers Oracle's outlook to NEGATIVE from Stable because of aggressive BUYBACKS, minimal top line growth and a net cash position that was $14 Billion 12 months ago, but now down to only $2 Billion. LE, MH, SC, CW, DD, TK and The Board of Directors should all be fired so Oracle can start over and possibly have a future.

Big dip in afterhours trading today. Someone's taking profits. They can't prop the price up forever. Buyer beware.

ORCL continues to climb in price. I hope you didn't sell!

LE is stuck because of his ownership stake and borrowings against it, the rest are hired guns who sell all their shares as soon as they can.

"they are squarely focused on the minute by minute share prices, none of the expect to be at oracle longer than the end of the week."

I seriously doubt that LE, SC, MH or ES expect to be gone by the end of the week.

If you are part of the competent Oracle crew, it's time to abandon ship. Leave the rats to drown as they take the ship down!

keep in mind that LE, SC, MH, TK and ES still have a boat load of unearned options to sell in the future. Take a look at Oracle's 2018 Proxy Statement which was filed yesterday.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that these people think about the future, they are squarely focused on the minute by minute share prices, none of the expect to be at oracle longer than the end of the week. Zero thinking beyond today’s share price. Therefore massive investment in buying back stock, no investment in people, products and customers. This truly is a sinking ship taking on massive quantities of water. To the life boats!

Would they not be better off taking at least some of that cash position and investing in innovation to the existing portfolio and new SKUs / technologies? Buybacks would seem to indicate they are out of ideas and have no plan.

Not gonna stop them, they have no choice but to keep spending enormous amounts on money buying up enormous number of shares to prop up the stock. Watch out for those margin calls LE - only a question of time now, buddy. Kiss your oracle shares goodbye, mate!

From the link below:

Standard & Poor’s announced on Tuesday that it was revising its outlook on Oracle to Negative from Stable, citing the aggressive share repurchases since the passage of U.S. tax reform.
