I was an employee at Verizon for almost 20 years. I recently got another job offer and left the company. It hit me after I left how much I think Verizon will struggle. My first bill without my employee discount shot up to $50+ per line on a 6 line account. When i tried to get it lower at a store i got a shrug. We went to T Mobile and with a discount they found I got $25 per line INCLUDING taxes. I did a test from my home on the network and my friends T Mobile phone had a faster upload / download speeds.
So how is Verizon going to compete with companies that charge half a s less while they need to pay off all the debt and dividends they promised the street? Simple, massive cost cutting will be the norm.
Think about the long term before you reject any package. I see Verizon downsizing from here on out.
