Just told October 3 a new recieving ap will be starting.. no mention what the clerk, claims or dock supervisor roles will be. Could this be the end of a position?

Our club goes live on the 4th. In reading the steps do you really have to take a picture of every BOL and send it in with each receiving appt.?
Is this self explanatory? Ours goes live in 2 days and no word on how or what to do with this new app.
The only merchandise coming in that you do not use this new system for is the items you currently are using ASN for. That process you still use on frito lay..candy. books. .. everything else is the Backroom app. There is no longer a receiving entry screen on the Smart system. I recommend on bread vendors you scan everything as it comes in because it keeps counts on the items brought in all week long. Also you can only do one po at a time which is a pain when you are receiving t-b-cco. If you back out at all, it loses all your counts. Just a heads up.
If the final receiving report does not print what do we match with the invoices that we are given? Is this just for the big trucks for now or everything like locals , fedex , ups etc.
From experience, they let audit go about a month after the new way to audit went out. Not saying that'll happen here, but let's see...

The finalized receiver is only going to print for about a week. I can't believe the clubs that didn't know about this. Shame on your CM's. It is pretty easy but there are still alot of bugs to be worked out. I don't know why they took away the process receiving log.
Yes the GM told us... So get ready clerks you will be working out in the club.. We was told this week. Starting 10/5/18
Who told you the clerk position is gone? Did you have "the talk" with your GM? If you are going to post at least post everything
Well, I got the news that receiving clerk is no longer needed. Only people will be and receiving will be the team lead and the claims person.
As receiving we walked in this morning with an email stating it starts today!!! Nice thanks for training!!
It started here today. Pretty streamlined and easy to use. And a finalized receiver DOES print up.
Ours is supposed to go live tomorrow. The only reason I knew about it was because our GM sent an email to CLAIMS about it last week, and she forwarded it to me Monday. No one in receiving knew about it. (not even night manager) We were supposed to be able to get on it today, but It was not showing on our TC70’s so we will see.
I’ve spoken with local Walmart claims associates and this app sounds exactly how Walmart receives merchandise. I feel like the clerk is going away. No receiver will print out FYI!
I don’t know how receiving will run with one associate though. What about breaks? Lunches? PTO? Busy times??

It's called the Backroom and claims app. Only on the tc70. Pretty much most of the receiving scteens on the Smart are deleted.
Are you talking and the receiving scheduler app on the wire? Many clubs have started that already.
