No severance package in infoSys

Shankar's email mentioned InfoSys will provide credit for employee's Verizon Service year. This is not true. InfoSys confirmed in today's TOwn hall meeting there is no severance year package in InfoSys . So after one year, rebadged employee get nothing if being laid off.

Not very nice, but not a lie. Years of service is just a number. With the exception of many union contracts it really means nothing. Many union contracts require workers to be "furloughed" by seniority within work classification (last in, first out). Severance on the other hand is at the sole discretion of the company unless it is part of a contract. So, the service years will transfer, however that does not equate to a severance program.

I think after 1 year, they will offer you a new compensation package (20 - 30% cut)

Just guessing.

If you say NO out the door.4

What are the chances that after one year they won't layoff everyone?

I’m not in IT but I’m very upset by this action. Any legal fund yet?
