Got some inside word that buyers are definitely the next to go, along with another round of regional people. Get out now before you’re scrambling for a new job.

I find it hard to believe that Amazon would have an auto order system in place before doing anything with the f---ing sh-- heaps known as IRMA and DVO. Once those are replaced buyers should start worrying.
Instead if sending 70 people from all Whole Foods to California for an immersion program/ vacation into veganism during inventory week why not spend the money so all team members benefit. Cut programs like that not gainsharing.
I quit less then 2 weeks and am making more money and being lots more happy so get out if you can, if you thought the holidays were bad, you ain't see anything yet, don't spend this Christmas hating life, its a choice, just food for thought
That’s my point labor is already stretched thin and somehow they are going to start paying everyone more? No way positions are not being eliminated nobody is safe.
Buyers won’t be the only position eliminated. Most likely there will be many other jobs going away. Look people, Amazon runs stores with no cashiers. Why would WF be any different? The less people to pay, the more profit for Bezos. He didn’t become the wealthiest man by being stupid. If he did care about the little guy, he would be creating new jobs, not eliminating them.
Think the wage increase has anything to do with eliminating buyers?
Increasing productivity with less people and more automation is simply becoming an industry standard. Some of you fools think that a union will save you. Well look around at the industry as a whole. All of your union cohorts at Kroger and other places are simply losing their jobs by store closures while paying their dues without the use of their own voice. The person above said it best "Only your attitude stands in your way of growing or going."
Fake news ! No one going away
Inventory specialist...much like how 365 does it.
Dairy is testing out auto-replenishment in Austin starting in November.
This is happening folks. Your job will change so likely no layoffs.
New skill sets, more updated job skills for some. A more limited set of awesome jobs so hold on to your job by becoming teachable. Only your attitude stands in your way of growing or going.
Word.
Hxr nailed it. I know of a coworker who recently got a buyer job and they only gave him a 3% raise.
Not fakes news, also to answer “who’s going to buy?” It’s Amazon. Auto replenishment systems are good to go in a few months.
They aren't getting rid of them. They are consolidating them. There will be one or two, buyers whose sole job is to buy for,the entire store rather than every department having buyers. Then each department will be staffed by part time minions who throw the truck and do,production.
OTS isn’t perfected yet. They still need buyers as a scape goat.
That's old news. It's been the plan for over 2 years.
Who the hell is going to buy then?
Both parties have been dead meat walking so quite a while...i feel bad for buyers...the regional yes men who brown nosed their way up the pipe deserve to go...
Not fake news.
Damt it.... i just got the buyers position...can’t be happening cant(((((((())))))))))
Wait I can get paid for that?
Fake news trolling
