Very typical that Indian executives hire the wives of their friends, relatives, girl friends, and mistresses. One hand this satisfies the gender diversity initiative, on the others hand they get to heavily compensate their own. The family members come without much real skills but usually are promoted quickly. This is nepotism at its extreme but the top management don’t seem to care despite the business is already severely impacted.
