What are the chances this is true? We will see more offers today, specifically in retail? Nothing would make me happier, to be honest, but I'm not sure why they would hold back with those offers.
It sounds much more likely that nothing will happen today and those who got the offer already are the only ones who will receive it at all.

Stop expecting “buyouts” or “packages” from retail. You ever see a special package for Best Buy employees? No? The reason is they have no value and can be easily replaced. This is the same thing with you.
I think Naz has it right. They don't need to offer retail employees any kind of package because they can just get rid of them when they close their stores. No need to give out some big payout.
Individual store closings are based more on when leases come up. Retail will be a bleed and shuffling of those with good numbers as opposed to one big chop.
Agreed with the trolling remark. Sales in a facets currently is not being impacted. Store closings happen with or without this type of workforce activity.
