Absolutely you can collect in NJ and take the package. NJ pays a high weekly benefit and does not tax you. You will be responsible to Federal taxes.

Unemployment is only a fraction of your salary. In GA, max benefits are only $330 per week for 18 weeks. At least that is what I read. So that's not much of an incentive to stay.
The FAQ basically states that VZ will respond to the UE office that you voluntarily left your position...which would likely disqualify you for UE in NJ.

Call you unemployment office instead of asking people on this board. FYI you are not voluntarily separating you are volunteering to be laid off. There is a difference
