Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Ramp up the M&A machine

We employees have basically become the cash cow for Honeywell. Cut benefits, make us pay more, unlimited vacation so they don’t have to accrue the funds legally, 401k payout delay so that they can ditch people before the end of the year and keep the cash, layoff people as “productivity.”

Essentially them screwing us allows the company to make its numbers.

What happens when they’ve cut too deep? Hint: they already have. Ramp up the M&A machine to assimilate more people to screw.

How did that work for GE???

after all those RIFs of older folks they will now start to hire .... only new grads .... same story at all big companies. Meanwhile expect the propaganda machine to start up in full force with special training for new hires designed to convince them that their lack of pension and mandatory unpaid work hours is normal and a privilege. Interesting work does exist in small pockets inside Honeywell. Just not at the legacy meat grinder locations. If you are a new hire look around at your location. If there is a honeywell factory ... ghost the job as you can do much better.

Just wait until they finish the spinoffs and start on the site reduction

Darius said in last earning she call for Q2 he wanted to reduce number sites a lot, I believe by half in 3 years. And he thought they could do better than that. If you are not at a site with 1,000 people or more don't make any long term plans. You maybe moving or RIFing by end of 2021

Leave and take your knowledge with you. Go somewhere else and put it to work. All the new kids on the block will cause enough problems with their lack of customer knowledge and business experience. Some one will do something stupid or illegal and get HON in trouble with the SEC or other regulatory boards.
