how does Houston have 5g without union fiber? listen to them tell it, they are the backbone of the company!
It is 5G, just not the mainstream 5G that they'll eventually run. In Houston we are seeing speeds averaging 1.3-1.5Gb/s, and a minimum of 940Mb/s. The cost right now is $50 bucks a month for current VZW subscribers and unlimited data caps, and $75 for non VZW subscribers capped around 400GB. Employees of VZ/W get a 40% discount on the service in the Houston area, idk about LA.
As part of its rollout, Verizon is offering three months of its 5G Home service for free, which will then cost $50 a month for existing Verizon customers, and $70 for non-Verizon customers. The company is also offering a free Chromecast or Apple TV 4K, and three months of YouTube TV. The service comes with installation included and first access to 5G mobile devices when they become available in a user’s area.
Does anybody know what they're going to charge, monthly, for this imitation 5G?
