When will the majority of the Corp stores close? I'm so sick of this place. Been here for 7 years and I'm so jealous of those who get the package. Most of my coworkers can't wait for the day we get notice that our doors will be locked! There are 6 indirects on the same street (excluding the best buy and walmart). CLOSE THE STORES ALREADY!

A lot of that is not true at all. They can and have shut down entire stores and gave severance. Do they have to? I don’t know the answer to that but I think they would.
I have seen multiple stores shut down personally. If it is to happen soon I would think it would be before January but that is just my guess. If that doesn’t happen could be another 6 months or year but I am convinced it will happen eventually. Cost of operating a retail is so much higher
Retail is not going to get severance. They're less skilled than IT, they'll be 'rebadged' under companies like 'Go Wireless'
I am too. I feel sick everytime I get within a mile of the store. This used to be a great company to work for. My biggest frustration is how the people who made the decisions that put us here are still getting paid. Why isn’t their salary reduced? When will they learn the importance of customer facing employees. If we don’t have job satisfaction (ie. reachable targets, work/life balance) the customer experience suffers and it hurts the company. Get it right Verizon or find yourselves in the same position as Wells Fargo!

Then why not just leave? Your attitude isn't helping yourself or those around you. I know it's easier said than done...I have 23 years with the organization (so clearly I have felt your pain...just for longer). I took tuition assistance to help with moving out/on. If you can, look into it. It's empowering for a company to pay for an education to get away from them.
Just because we are given the offer, there is no guarantee we will be accepted. Either way, I'm leaving. My attitude will certainly be worse the longer I stay, the shorter staffed we are, and the more stress that comes with that.
The closest Corp store to mine is over an hour away, doubt it
If they close your store you will be most likely transferred to another store. So you will have the same job with a longer commute.
