Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

HON isn't even good with Layoffs

Honeywell can't even do layoffs well. Check out the news on Verizon layoffs. 3 weeks of severance for every year of service

Oh never mind Severance is a benefit so of course Honeywell pays less

Prediction for Earnings call on October 19th, " Working hard to eliminate stranded cost and will reduce further in Q4 and in 2019". Stranded Costs = Employees

Not sure about 76, but Hon is the next GE. No interest in products, the accounts in board room only want cash. That's because they only care about themselves. Eventually there will be little left to sell. That said, Trump will keep markets propped and Hon has enough lemmings to keep that stock up. But once markets roll over in maybe a year, I don't see Hon comimg back.

Stranded in the unemployment line in your 50's with a puny severance package. But hey, Wall Street is in favor with that. Speaking of that, can someone please explain to me why HON stock has a PE of 76? WTH? I guess HON's prospects are so bright that we all need sunglasses?

It solves all their raw material and inventory metric problems. Anyone recall how long it took Aero to outsource some of their manufacturing from start of analysis to employees transferred out and deal closing? 9 months? 6 months? 2 years?

I have heard they are analyzing outsourcing manufacturing buy selling the sites. If true probably no RIFs until late 2019 or 2020. That strategy would fit with Darius public statements to reduce sites. And less sites means less people. Maybe a sweetened RIF is in our future for when I retire.....Sweet!!!!

my next door neighbor worked for SRP for 35 years. A few years back they were offering packages to reduce census and he was offered a month pay per year of service. He walked away with almost 3 years of pay. That's a benchmark Hon. would never match.

Zero products equals zero defects. Company wants to be a holding company. Software industrial is just the first step to reduce footprint.

Well, that would reduce someone’s bonus, wouldn’t it now?

Seems like Management’s end goal is “Zero employees equals Zero defects”
