Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Pharmacist hours to Script Volume

How many Pharmcists hours are you given in your locations and what does your volume look like? We are at 2400/week and run on 82 rph hours. I don’t understand how we are expected to work at this pace day in and day out with no overlap and give great service....all while not making a mistake.

So I patiently waited for next year’s RPH budget on the Green sheets. I was told that even with budget increases next year (doing 2400-2500 currently) that we will not have overlap next year. I can’t believe one pharmacist is expected to check 500+ in 13 hours. Criminal.

If you look hard enough, you will find refills completed without Dr consent, ready fill registered without patient consent, false charges to Medicare, patient calls falsified as reached and accepted, cycle counts falsified, drive thru closed and Rph wearing out front store help by calling them every 5 minutes to run Rx register! You are right cheating is the only way to operate and it is not your fault! But you will be the one that loses your liscense to operate and make a living! So do the right thing please!

For example NSPU you can edit “00” fills on day 14 RTS. Change the date of fill to the current date. Put on hold. Get credit for what’s picked up already never take a ding for what’s gets RTS.

Leadership is where it is because it makes numbers look doable. Half of them cheated their numbers to make themselves look like all stars. The hard truth is no one barely has time to just get scripts out given tech budget cuts, operating hour cuts and overlap cuts. Ask your pharmacist how many secondary tasks their doing before they go home just to keep their store running. This company takes exempt status to an extreme.

How do you cheat Patient Care scores? Dont patients have to pick up scripts to get credit?

Yeah, theres a 24 hour store in my district, the busiest in my state, they don't do 29k any time except for the weeks leading into Christmas. They average 13k a day on 65 hours. You're full of sh--.

You are a liar sir! There is now way a store does 29k on a Sunday and only has 34hours of demand. You make yourself seem very obnoxious to even say that. If a store does 29k on a sunday it probably does 20-25k on a daily basis. Which would put it right around 400-500 hours weekly. Get your facts straight.

You all are full of c-ap! I know a store that does 29,000 on Sunday alone with demand of 34 hours ! Store conditions are amazing. Most of you get 200 hours to do that kind of business! Drop the pity party! Also not a typo that is 29,000 on 34 hours

Florida is its own market now. AL leadership has nothing to do with it anymore. FL leadership can be terrible in some areas just like AL from what some colleagues have told me. Make your numbers and they’ll leave you alone, never praise.

We are all experiencing the effects of the merger and network cuts. Running everything to the bone. We care doesn’t matter anymore, just keep your patients happy and practice safely. Watch your own backs because CVS is not anymore.

Oh and find out how to cheat your patient care scores...call a store with an EL and 100 in your area...they know for sure.

I believe you but that's strange news about Florida. Your AVP

Is a great guy - laid back friendly.

I guess it's driven by a regional

That manages differently? Or a DL

Like one in AL that threatens constantly.

I think the Rx that said they do 4200

On 84 rph hours --- ment to say 2400

The last post about Florida is true. Each day you wake up and ask yourself what will they fire me for today. Constant threats. If and when you do a good job or you score high on MSH nothing is said they just leave you alone. The Labor pool is becoming thin out here.

As a SM in CA I’m disappointed in front store management. Pharmacist can’t even get a break back there and most of my collegues sit on there a-- or hang out on the floor all day. Some of you are a pathetic waste for this company. You SM’s know who you are.

To whoever said it would be like the FS doing 15k and someone doing 28k and only having 5 hours more. Not sure where you are located but I do 40k a week and I have the only have 5 hours more than the slow stores in my district that do 12-15 a week. I am minimum minus 2 and they are minimum minus 7. Figure that one, they have 4 pallet trucks and I get 11 a week. The cutoff for higher volume store is too high.

As an SM, in KY., where Pharmacists only gets 5 minutes off of the floor, to eat, or go to the restroom, I do not understand why Pharmacists, in this country, have not banned together, to protest this treatment.

I understand that you have a secure job, and pay, however, you have to ask yourselves, is Retail Pharmacy worth the cost, or could I go into Clinical, with a little less pay, and probably, less headaches, and enjoy my profession more?

Pharmacists, I would love to see your responses, as I have over 37 years in the SM role, and have had sympathy for you for a long period of time.

Ours does 1200 scripts with 69 RPH hours with two burned out techs, a shift/rx and with a store manager/rx (those hours are free) and we struggle with We Care. We care more about the patient’s then the metrics but corporate doesn’t like that. Corporate is too metric driven and the patient care isn’t there.

Crunch the numbers and come up with the best time of day for a half hour uninterrupted lunch break for Pharmacists

I am in So Cal 2300 with 83 RPh hours

Yeah. I have a couple great techs. But they are getting burnt out. Ive been with the company over 20 years....10 years ago we would have 3 full time pharmacists, no questions asked.

Just curious what state you live in to do 4200 with 84 RPh hours? That’s 50 scripts an hour......I’m fast, but that’s just crazy.

2400 is about the max . If you did a little more you would have overlap

It's like a fs doing 15k and 28k only have 5 hr payroll difference.

Hope u got good techs

Considering that YOUR license is on the line, why would they. I am not a Pharmacist but it is consistent with the hypocracy we know as CVS, that a company that claims they want to improve health puts it in jeopardy for the sake of profits.

I have seen comments from Pharmacists passionately challenging SM’s remarks. Where is the outrage for the dangerous situation this company and probably some of our competitors create every day. I have heard of instances where a Pharmacist moves a tech from production to a cash register and has a tech take off her smock and wait in the ladies room to keep the ratio in compliance during an inspectors visit.

This year we are seeing more and more businesses closing on Thanksgiving which is a reversal of the money hungry, inconsiderate practices of the past. My doctors office is closed from 12 noon to 1 o’clock so their staff can eat lunch uninterrupted. Here is an idea... a universal lunch break for Pharmacists. Crunch the numbers and come up with the best time of day for a half hour uninterrupted lunch break for Pharmacists. Announce it and just like I know not to call my doctor from 12 to 1 the public will get used to it. Our Pharmacists do so much for their patients I doubt they will object. By making it universal you eliminate any competitive advantage.

The time has come for Pharmacy practices to be evaluated. Make the Pharmacy environment less dangerous and less stressful for the Pharmacist who deals with peoples lives. I know you may only make 24 billion instead of 25 billion but remember your vision.
