Verizon is re-positioning itself for the future. Verizon will be a tech company and technology delivery company. It will not be spending a lot of money on a wireless phone billing system or a wireless phone retail business that eats capital with it's brick and mortar stores.

Thank God I have Caldoors, Korvettes, Gimbles, Woolworths, Blockbuster, Kodak, Xerox, JCPenney, Polaroid, RadioShack, Borders, Circuit City, Netscape, Atari, Toys R Us, Tower Records, Enron, and Pan Am on my resumé. Otherwise, I would have had the taint of failure on my, and Sears would not have touched me.
