When you are outsourcing rebadged verizon employees to Infosys, how can you save money by having extra layer in the middle? The intention is to send them off after a year and to keep their hard/ honestly earned severance package in their accounts. Executives are proving themselves wrong by saying cost saving, you are critical that is why you were moved Infosys rathar retained employees. No executive does these actions when you know you are critically needed. Those employees will be pleased rather threatening to be fired by losing STI/ job if you dont move to Indian company Infosys and no severance since you were forced to go to Infosys.

VZ employees will go to Infosys, Infosys will use lower paid employees to "cross train" with the VZ employees. Once a year is up the VZ employees are kicked out and the lower paid employees take over. Short term hit, long term gain.
Because the intention isn't to keep the workers, it's for Infosys to outsource and pay less.
The heartbroken thousands of employees from Verizon understands it very well whose jobs were outsourced to Indian company.
i have no idea what this post says...
Sverizon is probably using money from the now overfunded pension fund.
