We don't quit ... we retire : @Vxv9h1a-3dgi

This is the core of why Hans needs to eviscerate this entire company and start clean. We don't live in a 'Gold Watch Retirement' world anymore Gramps. I know you and yours pushed back those Nazi scum so we could thrive in the world of tomorrow. Tomorrow has arrived, your best is irrelevant and you don't get that brass ring, not from Verizon.

@fir Quit like an adult? Quitting is what a child would do if they don't like the way a situation is going, like when playing a game. There is a great deal of money at stake only a child or a fool would up and quit under our circumstances. To echo as mentioned below we don't quit anyway we retire. It is just a matter of whether it be under generous or extra generous circumstances.

"You got paid for your work. Vz owes you nothing more."

They depends on what was offered and what you signed. It's called a contract and it often includes more than "paid for your work".

FiOS will be sold before that happens. Don't wait too long. Look what happen to the techs that went to Frontier.

I owe it to my family, fir, to not think like you. Be a party to your own family’s financial ruination by being needlessly impetuous if you like, but why attempt to drag others there my brother?

Peace.

“I heard quit if you don’t like it. You know, like an adult would do.” —- @fir

That is not what an adult would do and, besides, we don’t “quit”, we retire, with a buyout if possible.

What adult does not try to shield herself/himself from an unnecessary and poor financial decision?

The “adult” thing to do is to use wise judgment when timing it, rather than arbitrarily quit like some dope as you advise @fir.

@fir, that’s foolhardy advice that would not be prudent. Financial planners, smart people far more financially savvy than either you or the average Assiciate, have advised many of us to stay on until there’s an enhanced offer. Once a significantly beneficial one occurs, expect a mass exodus of biblical proportions, freeing us up to use our considerable and varied skillset at another enterprise, for “golf money”, and paving the way for contractors, new young hires, whatever.

I heard quit if you don’t like it. You know, like an adult would do. If you had actual skills that are hireable, this wouldn’t be a problem.

Amen. Hasn't been an eisp in nyc for field techs in 8 years. When I got hired they're were 6 and 6's every year. I'd be thrilled with 1.6 and 1.6 right. Want to leave to do work I enjoy in a positive environment before I get too old. A shame, I used to love this job, but my body is beat up and its become a toxic environment.

There's is a article about our pension fund in the Wall Street journal , how the pensions fund is 90% funded like it was in 2010 that's where they get the money to give EISP , they don,t give to us because they feel bad for us !

Heard from two different sources that there will be an eisp for outside techs in November. I’m guessing they’re waiting for November 10th to see the final tally of management that took it.

"I do not believe Hans checks this webpage."

You'd might be surprised.

The problem is, he doesn't care. He was hired to gut the company exactly because he doesn't have a conscience.

Thousands of people's lives destroyed? Does it make me richer? Cool.
