My husband is a Wal-Mart manager. I work at Sears. He said a blog came down today basically stating to get ready for a mass hiring event. He said its going to happen next week. True?

As horrible as Walmart is, even they will give raises. When's the last time the rank and file at Sears or Kmart get one? Over a decade, literally?

This happens every year in October in most department stores. They're getting ready for Halloween, Black Friday, and Christmas. It has nothing to do with Sears/Kmart.
The holidays are coming up...most retail companies are going to have large hiring event soon. What does this have to do with Sears? (Unless you are reminding current Sears employees about a possible 'escape' once Sears goes under...).

Not sure how already staffed Walmart(s) "mass hires" tons of people from Sears. They only hire a lot of people when they have a new store opening.
