SJ BLDG K Floor 2 and 3 were hit. VPN team is gone, WSA team is gone, FTD team in Maryland you know the guys who actually understand the product are gone, someone hit in Phoenix AZ. I was one of those impacted. Every year I have been at Cisco a layoff. Pretty sad. We deserve better.

VPN and WSA had nothing to do with Sourcefire.
networking related security is not doing well? that is a really bad sign for cisco
@W0Koh8C - Phoenix guy was NOT let go - odd since he is remote. Also decimated Sacramento offices. They don't want anyone remote, red badge or in CA (unless you're special - there are a couple of people who should have been let go and were not - it seems the bottom 5 were not included this round).
This is the purge of sourcefire bad acquisition
It’s true
if FTD team in MD is hit maybe thats why FTD team in BGL opened a lot of reqs recently upto PE level.
i applied to that team before backing out and deciding on a external offer.
Cisco Security Is now doing SecureWorks from Dell.
Cisco may be selling off other portions of its portfolio or just closing those lines of business. Watch what happens next.
