I just heard that the CCIE lab program is being cut back. Cisco is shutting down the labs in RTP and SJC. As of Dec/Jan there will be ONE location in the US to take the CCIE Lab and that’s in Richardson, TX.

Is there anything to confirm they are closing the CCIE program for most tracks. It looks like Richardson, TX will become the only lab testing center in the US. To me that looks like they are downsizing, but not getting rid of certification tracks entirely.
They are closing the CCIE program down for most tracks.
The CCDE didn't make the cut.
Most other lower level programs will be gone this quarter or next.
CCIE lab exam = virtual lab nowadays. In person lab is pointless.
Mate, CCIE are worthless these days. Great back in the late 90s but rubbish now.
I know the CCIE proctor in RTP, he is a funny guy. Poor guy, he was doing an amazing job, he was always at work.
CCIE proctor in RTP said that they’ve LR’d staff and moving CCIE lab operations to Richardson in December. I feel terrible for these folks.
CCIE proctor over at RTP is gone too
Richardson isn't a CCIE Lab Site today or ever before to my knowledge.
www.cisco.com/go/CCIE.
Looks like the CCIE Program dies on November 5th like the Guy Fawkes Lullaby.
This is a shame. I worked over in RTP building 3 for some time, and would see the CCIE proctor nearly every day. Not quite understanding why they are keeping the Richardson site out of the 3.
Both possible and likely. We'll know soon enough.
