Folks have until 11/17 to recant VSP so i’m assuming it will come after 11/17. Anyone knows when rif will be announced? It will be brutal to get laid off right before thanksgiving

Remember this is Hans Failberg. He ran another company into the ground. Fortunately the aswedes has the wherewithal to dump him before it got too bad.
I say that to say. This is just the first of many cuts designed to give short term stock boosts so execs can fleece 401k owners then leave ona golden parachute.
It makes you wonder, why can’t I be CEO I can f--- things up just as well?
Rumor has it that a RIF will follow the week after the cut-off/week of Thanksgiving. Apparently, several of those offered VSP will be going whether they pushed the button or not. I hope it’s just that, a rumor, but I’m not taking the chance; I’m hitting the button. Good luck to all!

Unless you volunteer and are denied you can’t get 3 weeks even if they rif you Jan 1 or probably even Nov 11.
Gotta remember not everyone was offered a VSP package.. I know some groups with workers who have been there for quite a while who did NOT get offered this package.. still wondering what that means for them! ??
If they get the magic #(whatever that is) could be years till the next one-depending on how the dreams they spewed today pan out

My Guess is Q3 next year, so they can drop to the 2 weeks per year again.
Did you see the org charts that look like not much changed today?
When they start fighting it out on who their directs and then their directs direct you’ll probably see lots of little rifs. I don’t personally think they’ll be some big rif base on the last 17 years I’ve been here.

It say’s notified by Dec 10 so the expectation is people will start finding out before with all notifications done by Dec 10.
Dec 10 is when notices are sent with one of 3 dates of your last day worked not accepted. (A little leg work within this forum has that information already)
