Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Does this mean we will pay for the merger?

If there will be no layoffs at Red Hat as part of the merger, does that mean that the consolidation will hit our side exclusively?

That is certainly not going to create a welcoming environment for the newcomers.

You forget who we are dealing with here.

This is the company that often scoops up the best and brightest essential employees to RA, because the RA process is not strategic and business-results driven, it is next-quarter numbers driven.

IBM would be foolish to layoff Red Hat employees - after all that is the only reason Red Hat thrives. They have no intellectual property its not like a proprietary company.

It should hit any sector that did not do well.

Watson Health AI Truven, Services, Sales & Cloud were all in the c-apper so changes are needed.

IBM is way too top heavy overall so several mgmt levels will need to be eliminated.

If your division is sold off to a decent company then consider yourself one of the lucky ones.

The rest could be handed pink slips real soon. Still proud? Thought so

If it works the same as when we were assimilated the first year was no layoffs.

The second year first saw management changes as IBM moved in their own pointy hared flms, then the rivers ran red as the ax chopped away.

All ibm wanted was the Intellectual Property , which ended up being painted blue and turned into useless barely usable products anyway.
