The 60 weeks is the best it'll ever be. Those who, filled with self-loathing during a later RIF with less beneficial terms, wistfully look back on the 3,3,60 deal will remember their greed.

If it were too expensive to offer .. then why even give a VSP ... just layoff 20% of managers

with 35 weeks severance. Done.

Also it may cost alot to go give all those 30+ year people who already took the vsp just to nudge some fence sitters out the door.

The 60 week caps is higher than the 35 no? I heard for years people with 25, 30, 35 or more years wanting to volunteer for 35 and now they complain about getting only 60 kinda still takes me by surprise. I guess they were just day dreaming about leaving and thinking a rod would be the nudge they needed.

Why would they.

This is one of the best offers they have ever given.

IF they do not get enough clicks, they will just RIF you next year.

Wishful thinking I'm afraid. Too bad ... I think a lot more people would have happily taken

such an offer. The 60 week cap is a huge drawback for anyone with 25+ years of service.
