Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Times are tough for Molina people

Job hunt suggestion: Factor in that anyone from Molina has the mark of the beast on them. Molina work experience is devalued. It seems more likely, despite the stats you’re quoting, many former Molina people are struggling to find new jobs. It is disheartening and it’s yet another of the persistently giving gifts Molina has given us former employees. Molina has had an awful reputation dating back far prior to 2015. We all would have been wise to move on long ago. One or two years of Molina experience won’t hurt you so much as those folks who’ve had entire careers there. The job market is not as robust as you’d like to think. Many factors contribute to being a desirable candidate. Times are tough for Molina people.

Bumped from @VXohvQT-2nlg for being on point.

I worked for Molina in 2016 and 2017 and left on my own. Not bad mouthing it- but what a mistake. Much better healthcare companies to work for. Some of you have too much pride or haven’t had much work/life experience- but too each his own- it’s all subjective I guess. I really do think the company is in bad shape- so basically GET OUT NOW!

Molina is a well established organization. No doubt about it. Not sure why you badmouth it? What is your reason or pain?

I think it’s individual issue, nothing to do with company Molina. Interview is an art, you should learn how to crack the interview.

I agree with the original poster. He is right, unfortunately, about Molina’s reputation. To say several former Molina employees are in great jobs whenbthiusands were laid off, is silly. Several isn’t a great stat to quote. I also didn’t read the post as some exclusive statement. It seemed like useful info being shared and once again, if you post anything that may suggest Molina isn’t top notch, suddenly you’re the bad guy. Fortune 200 is great but within the industry, providers and other business associates have their own experiences. As do members. This can be disputed but it can also be validated by asking people in the industry or members. That will tell you how good Momina’s reputation is as a plan, business associate and employer. But what is the point in arguing either way? I just happen to know he is right about how Molina is viewed in the industry. Why? Because I’ve been told. Ten years ago, I worked at a plan with a lot of former Molina employees, who frequently stated Molina was poorly managed and had far too many FOM in important positions. There’s no defending Molina’s reputation in the industry. It is bad. I’m some instances, laughable. That doesn’t mean no one from Molina will ever get another job. Of course! But it’s not a plus, that is for sure.
