Had all hands with VP today. He said most teams were asked for 15-20% cut. If they don’t hit the percentage with VSP, they will fill the rest with layoff

20k is on target with the percents I was hearing for some groups. If your vice prez thinks its too high for their area you might be rejected if your not a oldie
I heard through the grapevine that almost 20k people opted to take the VSP. Rumors at best but heard this from multiple sources
To clarify 15-20% of employee base is the goal.
Funny... We had an all hands meeting just last week with our VP and he said his target number was only slightly down from last year. Tons are taking vsp though. I'm not sure how all of this will play out in the end bit there will definitely be some reorgs.
@dsz basically the same here. Over 90% volunteering. I have to think many will be denied.
100 percent of my IT team took the VSP.
It could be an illusion but I believe lower management is sweating it out, they are wondering who is going to be left to keep it going.
It's higher in the talent hub offices. People already being asked if they are mobile.
In my IT group, several have opted in, to the point that some may be delayed or denied. The fear that IT will continue to Re-badge to Infosys and the current strong IT job market makes it a good decision. Eventually IT will be nothing but H1Bs and contractors.
In my IT group, none have said that they are taking it. No idea if they are keeping it to themselves (this is out of 50 under a director)
I have heard the take rate is expected to be 50%.
I do not know what % they will accept or if 50% is correct.

I was told to expect 2 to 3 people in a team of 15. Per the vsp faq they will go with the most number of years of service to determine who is accepted. We were instructed to review that for our decisions.

? "Teams were asked for 15-20% cut....." means "teams were told to cut by 15-20% ...." presumably with the actual percent varying by team.
So the teams have to ask? Its not mandated from top down? That's suspicious. I would assume some would like 0% saying that they are indispensable
