Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Needing advice...

Store channel (9 years), on a leave of absence as of current, should I just put my 2 weeks in or should I stay on loa and wait for a rif? How long do you think the stores have? What area (if you work at a retail store)?

Thanks (northeast area here)

Stay and wait for rif. Let them pay you to leave!

They are NOT cutting stores in the 4Q when the most $$$ comes into the company. Stay, work hard, maybe you get a soft landing elsewhere. Vz Benefits among best in Corp America - dont throw them away!

Go back to work, let the end come when it does naturally.

I thought for sure the rif would happen this month in the stores (just to reduce headcount) but haven't heard anything. Crossing my fingers though

Wait for the rif so you can get unemploymet right away. Putting in 2 weeks doesnt help u in any way
