8:00 am - carefully scan all mails. If there is any chance of a bad triage or ddts landing on ones lap, then immediately file a sick leave or pto and disappear for a couple days until the heat is of. Activate the second sim card and drop off the managers radar. Block all calls from SIT team

bangalore office has the largest consumption of tea and coffee and food in general .

the daily schedule is like

11am - come in office shuttle, take 15 mins for morning beverage and light gossip

1:15-1:00 - read mails, send mails, attend a meeting or two, butter a couple of managers, punt PI issue to PD team, punt PD issue to PI team, update scrubber notes

1:00-2:00 - lunch with the boyz, followed by walking in circles around the campus

2:00-3:00 - find one of the overnight stay beds in another building and take a nap, manager calls to find out your whereabouts, tell him you are outside office on urgent personal work

3:00-4:00 - browse engadget, gizmodo, thelayoff, various other forums, practice a few problems in hackerank for the next gig

4:00-4:30 - evening tea and snacks

4:30 - time for the office shuttle :)

(for those who stay till the 7:30)

4:30-6:30 - do the days work

6:30-7:30 - either tea & another round of snacks or hit the big gyms and work off the days stress

It's surprising that everyone in Bangalore is spared cos all the dumbfucks are here acting like whizkids drinking their coffee and gossiping like old women collecting their fat cheques & fatter bonuses discussing how to spend them. The few smarter ones are overworked by the management that doesn't walk the talk. Seriously c-appy product & c-appier management that turns a blind eye as long as things are getting done.

Amazon has ended the entire Cisco's eco-center of Contact Center which revolved around SIP by a simple Web-based application. There is no future other than getting maintenance money for the next 5 years. A few Directors will enjoy it for some time to come.

In CCE and HCS Bangalore there is hiring going on. But Director is hiring only his friends and family as they can contribute to his real estate business. Some managers who came from Wipro want to hire their friends and are trying very hard. Two good product managers already left the company. One rotten guy is working as a care taker Product Manager of CVP. Overall worthless hiring just for name sake and for their fraternity. Very corrupt business practise in India, that seems to have learnt from MM.

I was LR’d and it hurt but frankly, now that a few days have gone by, I am glad. New beginnings require old ways and habits to change. So many people were let go that many said were “top performers “. I don’t know about that. In the short time I was there it was obvious who old management liked and didn’t - those that were considered “top” had the worst attitudes... always something to complain about. I heard them talk badly about new leadership without any reason other than what I can only guess is no open mindness to change. In the few years I was there nothing was delivered other than meetings after meetings where so-called architects would just talk and talk without any action to come of it. Top-heavy management and reviews and processes all in the name as Agile which was anything but. I am sad because I realize I wasted two years out of college in this group - all because of management and their golden child “architects” that never did anything but complain and stifle delivery with process and impossible standards. So now I rebuild. Start new. My only solace is that now I see that I spent the last two years getting a Master’s in what to avoid going forward. I just wish I could have stayed around with the new leader that let us go to see where things would go. I thought there was good change coming... maybe this was it and what was needed to move forward. If any of you managers or architects are reading this I say take some accountability for this. You let it come to this. Have some humility and learn because your behavior and attitude and decisions affect many lives.

@W2eF5i1-ayq Do we really care to hear that India is prospering while Americans lose their jobs. As I mentioned in another post Indians are the Mexicans of the IT world. Maybe Trump should build a wall to keep business in the US and not worry about mexicans

As a former manager at that god awful place, I call BS to "no managers knew who or how many". I was given a complete list every time the mighty ax was swung. Was told to say "didn't know who or how many" to seem more like one of the affected.

On site in Bxb about 25. Nearly the entire 4th floor of bldg was cut (70+ was the number in the paperwork) no managers knew who or how many. The new director was given a cut number and he made the choices. It’s interesting that po land was basically spared maybe new director used that head po person to determine who to keep who to stay there is no review cycle or paperwork since 2015 so no data way of making a choice only the super effective subjective s--- up way of making the choice
