Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Layoffs before next year?

I see people are already talking about the next year, but to be honest I'm still more concerned about the current one.

Are we sure there will be no more layoffs during this and the following month?

I haven't seen anything that would warrant confidence that we are safe until 2019.

Layoffs definitely are still happening. According to the earnings call they reduced headcount by an additional 600 positions (5% of the remaining employees from the 2017 layoffs) since the beginning of 2018 and they continue to look for positions to eliminate.

Layoffs continue . They occur in small numbers and therefore aren’t reported via WARN. People continue to report being let go on this site. Sometimes, they say they are fired, sometimes they say they are laid off. Sometimes they report having been paid severance and sometimes, they report not having been paid severance. Doesn’t really matter. Paying out severance is optional anyway. They don’t have to fire you to avoid paying severance. So, the answer is, yes. Layoffs will keep happening this year and the next. Mass layoffs haven’t been happening very often. Maybe we won’t see another mass lay-off before 2019. Just the one offs.
