Yes this is true. They are touring possible buyers. This new president seems like he wants to sell us ASAP. He does not care.

they need to move all the corporate people into the parks that would save some money. Eliminate board of director salaries.

10 people at BGT were laid off. Mostly warehouse and security. Many had over 30 years of service.?

A buy out by Six Flags would be horrible. They don’t care about the animals. They would change all of our benefits and pay as both would me much lower. They are more of giving guest value over guest satisfaction. Six flags would kill SeaWorld, Unions would kill SeaWorld, PETA would kill SeaWorld. It’s not looking good either way.

There have been talks in the past, but Six Flags really wants the Orlando realestate and thier presence in the Central Florida region. SeaWorld is building up to sell at a higher value.

Unions would officially destroy SW. That would be the last bullet they could take.

SeaWorld as a company has to give severance packages if it was a layoff. This time, they are not giving severance packages. They are just letting go of hourly employees. You don’t have to roport firing people in the news as this practice happens on a daily basis with any company.

It’s not a lay off, it’s a company restructure with hourly employees. That’s why it’s not labeled as a layoff.
