As I just posted in another thread, "Despite what's been posted that only the higher levels (VP) would know who click the button, it's been confirmed by many well placed friends that directors know, they've communicated to the managers, basically everyone knows at this point who has pushed the button. Now they're scrambling to figure out contingency plans."
Don't kid yourself, your manager knows if you've clicked.
Regarding this being a difficult decision, nope not for me, clicked the first day and have slept soundly ever since. You guys can take the ball, I'm out.
they know its a fact- even the managers know and they all talk. dont be stupid- and leaving this place is the only consolidation one can get then take it and run.
The directors get the initial list tommorrow to start figuring out where the may have gaps. Final list the following week.
The only ones currently able to see volunteers are SVP and CFO for their orgs. On 11/19, the list will be shared and discussed with VP/Dir levels to confirm any critical employees and only then to discuss if they need to stay 03/28 or 06/28. If a SVP needs to get rid of 10 PM's and 5 in the same group volunteer leaving a Dir short of PM's, the business will let them go on 03/28 or 06/28 allowing the PM to train someone else from the same SVP org. There will be a lot of reshuffling in 2019 to accommodate groups with critical needs by using employees from non critical work.
@1rvf, the person who tells everyone he or she disagrees with, and self-appoints as the only adult in the room, in my experience, is the least open-minded and the most juvenile.
They don't care if you put in to leave, this isn't some kind of loyalty test. They need to cut 44k jobs, if your job or you are essential to business needs you would not have gotten the Buyout. Grow up
Execs have access to daily reports. Managers do not. Even Execs would not instantly know accepts. Desktop monitoring would make more sense in a case like this.
I took it late Saturday night. If the company wants to jerk everyone around by not saying anything to help make a decision, I'll take another week.
Management does not know and they do not care if anyone wants to leave . We are all just a number ,its just that simple . Stay or leave its all the same .
I pushed the button and my manager called me half an hour later all innocent like talking about jobs they heard about.
Could be a coincidence I’m not sure. I’m worried about clicking it to extend my choice a week knowing I’m going to uncheck it anyhow.
They DO know. I pushed they button and told NO-One. Had an associate I work with in a different location tell me he heard I pushed the button. They know and some leak it out.
Just sayin.
Paranoid? Who cares if they know. They might be doing you a favor if they want to hold rescinding on a buyout against you.
Except they haven't shared beans with managers so far, and are just as unlikely to later.
Except that they will know and then you will be one of the first ones to be let go afterwards
