We stay because we like our jobs and like the people we work with . We stay because it’s been a fun place to work at. We remember the days we had 40% market share in appliances and dominated the market . We remember when we were innovators and introduced many first in appliances . Many of us have nice 401k and Five weeks vacation time . My store is closing but I will stay to the bitter end and I will land on my feet. God bless and good luck to all .

If you have a family to support, you are irresponsible and selfish. You also sound like you’re 50 plus. Good luck landing on your feet once they let you go. The savings will go very fast.
I stayed out of loyalty, good co-workers, the apprehension of starting over in a new job....but I finally decided it was time to move on because I had to look out for myself. I gave myself time to find a new job before I served my 2 weeks notice with Sears.
My first priority is keeping a roof over my head, food on the table, and my car insurance paid up.
I could not wait it out until the end and then have to figure out how to support myself after the doors closed.
We stay so we can move electronics and jewelry out the door and into our van.
