No, they wont. 'They' already own stock in the company and everyone involved in massaging the stock price upwards will be rewarded. Then, just about the time the wheels are about to fall off, they will excercise options, get paid tremendously, and leave the place to burn to the ground. This is a slash-and-burn, and the slashers and burners wont be hanging around for the fire to catch them.

Sadly, WE pay the price, as well as the American public in the form of more failing infrastructure.

I love having OMT’s and EA’s come to our company and compare our systems to Apple II technology.

Even the FRA laughs at our junk systems like RTA and ELW.

Maybe we can finally step into the 21st century?

Our IT is terrible. Years upon years for CADX...give me a break. Waste of salaries. Gut this place of even more worthless employees. I know a handful that somehow still have jobs.

If people would do your job and keep your nose to the grind stone you wouldn’t have to worry.

UP’s IT department is out dated garbage!

"They do not understand the value of IT."

They do not value People period. They value the almighty dollar and that's pretty much it. There will be a price to be paid...in the end. Trust me, they will receive the consequences of their Greed. In the End.

This is true

We were told IT cuts are done for 2018. For what that’s worth.

We were told the same thing. All done for this year. Wait until Q2

They do not understand the value of IT. They (the management) think it's a given, but there is so much effort that goes into this.

They will pay the price, at some point.

This is why you NEVER trust your railroad employer...especially with your medical history.

"My doctor, pharmacy, and credit union are all located downstairs."

You obviously trusted your employer waaaaayy too much. They can turn on anyone when it suits them to do so. Even the little darlings that s--- up and say YES to every idea the boss has on his mind (when in fact the idea stinks or is unethical). No one should think they are immune...everyone is disposable like an old dish towel.

It’s not going to stop until they hit 30%. Then they will announce project G50 and more cuts. Or they won’t make any more announcements and there will be more cuts. This isn’t anything new for agreement employees - come to work and wonder if your going to get cut today.

What’s the best part of getting laid off? When we are told to leave the building and not return. Seriously?!? I have been nothing but a dedicated and hard worker for all of these years. My doctor, pharmacy, and credit union are all located downstairs. Thanks UP - classy to the end.
