There’s talk of us spinning off, there is talk of shutting down. I don’t know what to believe?

From looking around the SYW website, seems like there was a time when it was active around the time of Nick Minaj and Adam Levine. I see people asking lots of questions as late as 2014 & 2015. Of course the answer was always call SYW. SYW could have been something but part of the problem is the chief digital officer kept her profile private as did the other head honchos including the leader who had his account under an alias. This shows that the people responsible for the program do not BELIEVE in it. How or why should others believe in it??
@fgt - Spot on. Ever wonder why SHC is so secretive about the cold, hard numbers behind SYW? This is why. They don't want anybody to know that the average SYW entry in the database is inactive, outdated or bogus. Would be like a suitcase full of Monopoly money, just completely worthless. It is an exercise in futility to hide the facts though because if somebody is even remotely interested in buying SYWR, they are going to want to look under the hood and see how much value the data has (or doesn't have).
SYW points can only be spent at Sears and Kmart. (And until they stopped accepting SYW last month, Land's End, as a relic of their former status as a Sears subsidiary.) So unless they find one or more other major retailers willing to accept the points, any remaining active customer accounts won't remain active for very long after Sears/Kmart are gone.
SYW swims with the fishes if Sears drops. Nobody is interested in SYW data because the majority of accounts are inactive.
SYW is worthless.
Amazon is buying SYW and ditching Prime. High 6 to 7 figure signing bonuses for everyone who chooses to stay on.
What's the value to be spunoff? Sears doesn't exactly have a huge wealthy demographic such that the data is worth anything.
