Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Restructuring in January 2019

According to the quarter 3 earnings call the CEO said restructuring will be in full effect JANUARY 2019. We will here about it all I’m sure at sales rep rally’s with our regional management teams. Just like the Walmart orders bomb they dropped on us January 2018. Things aren’t looking good and investors are sceptical. Let’s hope we get fair warning if anything takes a turn for the worst. Keep your morale up and your eyes forward, we got sh-- to do and incentives to earn.

Tend to agree with the OP ( @T0bGB3Q-37bsl ) on this.

Big deal! Last round of layoffs some sales reps had just received new cars, and guess what, they simply turned them back in. Not that hard when Mondelez doesn’t own them Same with phones.

Quit grasping at straws!!! Dsd is ending!

Haha, you may want to lay off the happy pills! Although the timing is a moving target, the fact we are leaving dsd is not! You really live in lala land if you think otherwise. Just hope living is cheap in lala land cause you certainly aren’t preparing yourself for reality! Retailers will be doing your job and you’ll have more time to smoke whatever is your smoking! Merry Christmas and hard reality!

Let's see the cheerleader try to spin this information! DSD is dead and will soon be ending folks. Double triple trailers won't be delivering to your local grocery store!! Better hit send soon. It won't be much longer now.

Had a driver share with me today that they are pushing all the drivers to get certified in “double triple”. Asked what that was, two or three semis connected, just like UPS does. Hummm, wonder why? Since they now doubled the size of the West Chester branch and are getting drivers to get certified for these extension trucks....could it be that WC is going to be a Distribution Center for the Midwest when Mondelez goes warehouse? Maybe someone should ask their DM! Haha! One more huge red flag people. All smaller box trucks are being eliminated and going to only straight trucks that can be hooked together. Gonna get three semis to show up at the store. Yeah right! Hope all you folks that keep saying dsd is here to stay and we’re too big didn’t bury yourselves in too much holiday debt? Won’t be long before we are let go!

For all of you newbies out there, Mondelez ( or at least most of our brands ) was warehouse many years ago. Everything goes full circle eventually.

We are exactly like Keebler and no, we are not too big! Coke, Pepsi, and Frito will have different distribution channels but will eliminate sales force. We will exit dsd all together! Kroger requested we go pack six, and we did. Will be CAO in 2019 for all Kroger accounts.

It looks like we are about the 20th largest company in the food and beverage category. Just about everyone of those are not DSD. You can look it up for yourself. Too big to leave DSD? I doubt it. Are we exiting DSD? Don't know. I do know we would finally be profitable in the U.S. if we did.

We are too big to completely go away from DSD! It wouldn't shock me to see layoffs though. Most likely rep positions. We're not Keebler. We do more volume than them. Companies like Nabisco, Frito, Pepsi and Coca Cola will never exit DSD.

Every negative posts on here is same for years. People have been saying for more then 10 years we are exiting DSD. But we are still here doing same job as nothing has really changed much. Our company adapts and moves on as we have. Stores cannot handle our extra volume right now or any time soon. Keep guessing as we will be in DSD for a long time to come. Can’t wait for next year at this same time and laugh at all these posts as we are still working.

Is this a joke. 436,000 is nothing. Who ever wrote the last post needs to get more brains. DSD may not be going away YET , but it is going away.

B. Riley Wealth Management Inc. bought a new stake in Mondelez International Inc (NASDAQ:MDLZ) during the third quarter, according to the company in its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The institutional investor bought 10,153 shares of the company’s stock, valued at approximately $436,000.

See DSD isn't going away!! Investors are doubling down on DSD like Dirk said. DSD is 👑!! Big 💸 🐄!!! One team!!

I guarantee there is no restructuring this year for us. What are they going to do.....lay-off more reps and give us each 20 stores? I just don’t see that happening. These routes need to be smaller to allow us to focus more on each store versus running around like crazy all day and merchandising everystore since it’s are job now.

Dumping product to hit Q4, then Glenn can tell all the shareholders we hit Q4! All the while stores are buried! It’s not only immoral but also illegal, ask Martha Stewart! Not to mention a violation of company policy. Never been a part of an organization that talks so much out of both sides of their mouth! Take care of your stores, goes a long way! Tell them to refuse, they may thank you!!

It’s so sad to read posts from people who share,”my DM told me”. They must be new and have not cycled through a lay-off before. Management told us our jobs were all safe in 2015 and then they eliminated 1/3 sales force.

Had those believing their DM been around then, they may believe differently. They will soon learn!!

You got that right! Be proactive and start looking. Sounds like the end is near. They are dumping products in Walmart to empty the warehouse out. I look for us to be out of Walmart soon. Definitely layoffs coming.

With DDS and regional trainers being let go it is obvious that the restructuring will begin in 2019. Until they announce they will try to keep the buzz down by having it appear “business as usual”. Meanwhile they continue to plan for our exit from dsd. Ignoring the inevitable doesn’t work well if you have a family to protect!

It doesn’t! DC has his head shoved too far up his a$$ he can’t see reality. We are not expected to see growth next year, from Dirk’s mouth. Consumer centered means no more junk food, how those organic crackers and vea working for you? Dog food l! Retailers are pulling the plug on full service for the margins. DC is full of c-ap!

We're not going anywhere! Snack futures are our future! We're growing! We're going to be consumer centric. Putting the consumer first! DSD is not going away. Stop spreading false rumors.

If you didn’t have vacation picks wouldn’t that tell you? They are trying to keep you in the dark id--t! Ask the reps that were let go in April of 2015 If they were at the vacation pick meeting! If they said we weren’t picking vacations then they may as well tell

You dsd is ending, right? Quit trying to convince yourself of things.

It is very true.

The DDS position (along with their boss’) and Area Training Manager positions will be gone by February.

BUs and restructure of cooperate is changing a bit too.

That is set in stone.

As far as routes changing? Not that I’ve heard of yet.. is possible though.

You heard it here first...

Thanks,

DC
