Does anyone think severance will be offered to long term partners anytime soon?

If their not eliminating your position and want you gone they will just find stuff to fire you for and try to get out of paying unemployment.

It could happen. They just did that at my husband's place of employment. Not retail, but AI is taking over and lot of jobs. So before they start letting people go, they are giving a lot of long time employees the option to take early retirement. They would get a nice severance package. But nobody is biting in that place. It's actually a great company lol

Only if your position is eliminated, like mine.

Why would they offer to just long term? Most long term are not nearing retirement age... some but not all. If you’re hoping to get money to just walk away probably not going to happen. However it might benefit to get in one of the dozen positions that supposedly could be eliminated?

Offered just because you’re long term? No.
