Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

amazon leadership or wholefoods leadership?

should whole foods global and regional leadership be replaced by amazon leadership?

if so why?

the consensus in our region is yes due to many errors made daily and no accountability from regional leadership and global due to the way the company is operating in a non realistic enviorment where you can visit their champion store and ots is not being followed 100%.

would amazon focus on filling the sets or filling clipboards?

lets here real answers!

Everything is monitored if you work for Amazon unless you're a prime now shopper, chillin in their bag chairs and playing on their phones.

why do vets fight for prople like this?

maybe we’re better iff becoming communist rather than a hyper liberal country!

Who cares about vets,

So tired of everyone complaining on this site . You are well paid and privileged compared to a lot of retailers . I worked in target , Home Depot , Walmart , Lowe’s and no dept managers are making $25-$37 a hour ( average is $18-$22). Team members making average $18 plus and you guys are Complaining . I know someone working for amazon and if you don’t know everything is monitored / measured . Everything you do is timed and you must account for all your time otherwise you will be written up for productivity . To work not directly for amazon you should be privileged and need to stfu and stop complaining . There plenty of people who would appreciate your job right now , so be thankful for it and stfu

preachy people in the work place makes it’s way too unfortable can’t they just do their job and leave?

we have a couple at our store and man we all just aviod them always unhappy and negative.

never a store leader around when this happens.

the workplace is awesome when surrounded by people who carry their weight and look for more tasks to do.

here at our store in norcal on veterans day there was a coordinator from the uk of course i thing he could be a associate corrdinator or coordinator bu he totally hated on veterans on veterans day claiming how they just expanded to include veterans of all wars and service member and how he felt it was unreasonable and gave us a huge lecture on how it was armastice day .

we felt very uncomfortable talking to this man talking down to fallen americans or veterans , it really showed how no respect for others and his position in the company doesn’t justify it.

he needs to be held accountable for his comments.

why do we hire people like this ?

i agree we need to change out leadership.

Uh Amazon could care less about their people, or people in general for that matter... why would you think they'd do any better?

Be careful what you wish for. Amazon does not have a good reputation for treating employees well.

On the Lynnfield Ma Store the only reason Greg got the Regional specialty position was because Bill Ford the store team leader is his best friend

WFM has a culture of filling open slots with whoever happens to be available. TMs become supervisors>atl>tl and the jump into regional positions with no education or understanding how business works. Before you know it you have a person that should be stocking shelves making very important decisions that affect the whole company.

I would like to think that Amazon has better screening proccesses for positions of power instead of the "hire your friends" through peer panel model.

Whole Foods died awhile ago.. the stores are a shell of their former selves and employees are agitated, angry, and sad.. time to move on and look for something better.

The customers are so self serving and rude, dirty, and disrespectful.., it’s awful:(
