Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Right before Chrismas

Its prime time for layoffs right before Christmas (and yeah thats what time of year is coming- not “holidays”).

Anyway, typical for TR/repukativ to lay off people at this time. Before financial year end or whatever

Hohoho... you should have quit long ago. Those who wait for hand outs are going to get coal!

Layoffs seem to be inevitable at TR. I am one of those bring laid off. But in saying that, I am getting a decent severance too. While not what I wanted, I also understand layoffs. Who hasn't been there one time or another.

My only objection is the progressive way they are communicating. As the Nike Moto is, JUST DO IT. Stop causing so much stress and strife. Whoever thought this progressive way of doing this, needs to be let go as well. We are all humans, care about our co-workers and feel awful for the undo stress this is causing for everyone.

I'm glad someone else said it... but no, it's not just Christmas. What a weird thing to be bitter about and take a dig at...

What a weird spot to take a shot at holidays/Christmas. Not really a hot button issue when it comes to layoffs ...

I disagree, it's "holidays" - not just Christmas...
