Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

6 Months to Go

With all the silent layoffs - such as Saffron - there is no trust - circuit isnt talking about anything other than vapid bs, so any rumor of firings since ACT is reasonable, that is the new Intel way - fire while hire - executives trying to excite employees on a journey where we get thrown off the boat monthly,.. inspires the loyalty and commitment of a green badge....

HR will hire an army of program managers to study the issue of trust even as loyal employees are treated as disposable trash...

After 18 years, I hate the place, 6 months to go to reach financial goal...

@1uan has it nailed. Intel stumbles into these acquisitions and investments and puts people who haven't talked to a real customer in decades in charge of an actual product...then wonders why they can't achieve the inflated revenue projections.

It all seemed like such a grand plan based on internal Powerpoints and the numbers we paid Gartner to make up.

@W93yVB4, Saffron was destroyed by delegation to Intel Senior managers with no experience working at a Software company or SaaS business. Dismissing that you needed to make a SAAS product compliant with US Government regulations like PCI, SOX, SSAE/16/18 and NIST To really compete with the Ora,SAP and IBM's of the world. Then there are the focused start-ups that have mapped out what customers might want to use this type of a SAAS product. They understand how to market and sell to the targeted customers. The solutions to these customers pains. These managers were trying to keep their jobs a little longer. It's my understanding that Intel had planned to eliminated two managers jobs prior to them joining Saffron team. As they really did not deliver on a AI sport product. Although the product had some enterprise customers prior to the company being acquired by Intel Capital. It's takes allot of $$$ and experience to position a SAAS AI product in the consciousness of decision makers and IT teams at the targeted customers... Intel did not have the experience. Someone even suggested team-up with the McAfee teams. Since they know how to sell SAAS products to enterprises. I.e Customer relationships.
