No more layoffs? I’m at a store who is, quite literally, closing its doors on Sunday.
Do you mind sharing what store that is? And if anybody else know if other stores have been affected?
I haven't heard anything about closing stores in quite a while, I started to actually believe we were at least safe from that for a while.
There are some struggling stores in Arizona for sure, I'm at a very established B-volume with occasional overtime at an A-volume, both are safe with sales and renewed leases in recent years.. I do agree that the Ds are on borrowed time, and count your blessings if you are at a store with decent traffic. The store count needs to come down, but they aren't stupid enough to close their bread and butter.
I know there are a few stores closing in Arizona soon. I think we can expect to see the Company start closing stores more aggressively after the new year. Unfortunately, the Company has over saturated the market and it’s fluctuating to a more appropriate store count. The lease agreements are an “out” for certain stores that are underperforming and I would expect to see very few “D-volume” store make it after the next few years.
Is it one of the Long Island stores? They were reported back in April to close in November.
